Brown trout - brown trout

Brown trout - brown trout

A fish belonging to the Salmonidae family of the Osteichthyes class. Its body color is yellowish brown, with large black and crimson spots scattered on its sides. It is distributed throughout northern and central Europe, from the Black Sea, the Caspian Sea, and the Aral Sea to North Africa. There are many regional subspecies. It generally lives in freshwater, but there is also a sea-run and river-run sea trout, and the relationship between the two is similar to that between yamame and cherry salmon. Sea trout appeared from brown-type fish transplanted to South America and Tasmania, which shows that there is essentially no difference between the two types. It was mainly introduced to Japan via North America, and released into ponds along Lake Chuzenji and the Azusa River in Kamikochi, and cold-water lakes in mountainous areas, where it grows large by devouring small fish and aquatic insects. It is quite difficult to cultivate in ponds. It is wild, making it an interesting target for fishing, and its meat is delicious.
