A hot spring in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture. It springs up at the western foot of Utsukushigahara, on the northern outskirts of Matsumoto city, and is a simple hot spring. 46-53℃. It is said to correspond to Tsukama-no-yu, which was discovered in 685, and there was a hot spring inn here in the Edo period. It has a magnificent view of the Northern Alps and Matsumoto Basin, and is a base for hiking, skiing, and skating at Lake Misuzu.
