An old town in Watarai County facing Ise Bay in the eastern part of Mie Prefecture. The coast is Futamigaura, and it has long been developed as a tourist destination close to Ise Shrine, and the Sangu Line runs through it. It produces rice, shiitake mushrooms, and seaweed is also cultivated. In January 2006, it was incorporated into Ise City along with Omata Town and Misono Village in Watarai County. 11.91 km2 . 9,273 people (2003). 三重県東部,伊勢湾に臨む度会(わたらい)郡の旧町。海岸は二見浦(ふたみがうら)で,古くから伊勢神宮に近い観光地として発展,参宮線が通じる。米,シイタケなどを産し,ノリ養殖も行われる。2006年1月度会郡小俣町,御薗村と伊勢市へ編入。11.91km2。9273人(2003)。
