An old town in Watarai County facing Ise Bay in the eastern part of Mie Prefecture. The coast is Futamigaura, and it has long been developed as a tourist destination close to Ise Shrine, and the Sangu Line runs through it. It produces rice, shiitake mushrooms, and seaweed is also cultivated. In January 2006, it was incorporated into Ise City along with Omata Town and Misono Village in Watarai County. 11.91 km2 . 9,273 people (2003).
