An old town in Iyo District, facing the Iyo Nada Sea in north-central Ehime Prefecture. The main settlements are in the Kaminoda and Shimonada areas, where the Yosan Line runs. During the feudal era, bleaching wax was a popular industry. The town also cultivates mandarin oranges and other fruit trees, and engages in fishing.
