fungicide

Japanese: fungicide
fungicide

... refers to a drug that robs bacteria of their vitality, but in Japan the word sterilization is used in a broader sense than simply killing bacteria, and refers to the inactivation of many types of microorganisms, including viruses, spores, and mold. In the United States and other countries, sterilization is called bactericide, but it is often used separately for viruses, spores, and molds, as virucide. In the future, we would like to use the terms sterilization, viricide, sporicide, etc. separately.
