Pujangga Baru (English spelling)
A literary magazine published in colonial Indonesia. A monthly magazine specializing in literature and culture, it was first published in Jakarta in 1933 and was published until 1942. The literary and critical activities carried out by this literary magazine were carried out by Arisahbana, who played a central role, as well as Sanusi Pane, the brothers Armin Pane, Amir Hamzah, Purwadarminta, and others. As the name of the magazine means "New Poets," they strived to produce nationalistic and high-quality literary works in the Indonesian language.
