Fujino [town] - Fujino
An old town in Tsukui-gun, located in the northwestern corner of Kanagawa Prefecture, part of the Kanto Mountains. The Katsura River runs through the center, the Doshi River flows west along the southern border, and Lake Sagami is located here. Agriculture and forestry are carried out, and there are tourist farms. Yoshino, the center of the town, is on the west shore of Lake Sagami, and was once a post station on the Koshu road, and is served by the Chuo Main Line and the Chuo Expressway. In March 2007, it was incorporated into Shiroyama-cho, Tsukui-gun, and Sagamihara City. 64.91 km2 . Population: 10,825 (2005).

神奈川県北西端,関東山地の一部を占める津久井郡の旧町。中部を桂川,南境を道志川が西流,相模湖がある。農林業を営み,観光農園がある。中心の吉野は相模湖西岸にあり,かつては甲州道中の宿駅で,中央本線,中央自動車道が通じる。2007年3月,津久井郡城山町と相模原市へ編入。64.91km2。1万825人(2005)。
