Gove - Gove (English spelling)

Bauxite mine in the northeastern tip of the Northern Territory, Australia. The city and airport are called Nhulunbuy (population 3695, 1996). Reserves are approximately 250 million tons. Mining began in 1972. There is also an alumina refinery, and bauxite and alumina are exported. Royalties (mine usage fees) are returned to the indigenous people.

オーストラリア、ノーザン・テリトリー北東端のボーキサイト鉱山。都市名と空港名はナランバイNhulunbuy（人口3695。1996）。埋蔵量約2億5000万トン。1972年採掘開始。アルミナ精錬所もあり、ボーキサイト、アルミナを輸出する。なおロイヤルティ（鉱山使用料）は先住民に還元される。
