However, when the relationship between politics and education is not simply viewed as antagonistic, but education becomes a higher-level politics that fosters sovereign consciousness, and politics becomes a higher-level education that is not a technique of domination but a technique for running a republic based on popular sovereignty, then the way in which the sovereign people educate themselves is what defines this new politics internally, and can be said to make possible the unification of politics and education at a higher level. And this unification calls for a politics that guarantees the autonomy of educational values.
