Generally speaking, this refers to a method of testing by applying a stress to examine the physical properties or condition of a target object, but here we will discuss stress tests used in clinical testing in medicine. In clinical testing, this refers to a test method that determines the function of an organ by using the biological reaction when a certain stimulus is applied as an indicator. It is mainly used when values obtained in normal specimen tests are within the normal range, but abnormalities are still suspected, or when organ dysfunction cannot be diagnosed without a stress test (particularly common in endocrine function tests).
