Served as president of the Japanese Society of Agricultural Economics and president of the Greater Japan Agricultural Association. Known for his research on agricultural evaluation and industrial cooperative theory. Died May 31, 1967. Age 88. Born in Yamagata Prefecture. Her maiden name was Furumi.
