1879-1967 An agricultural economist from the Meiji to Showa periods.
Born January 26, 1879. Became a professor at his alma mater, Tokyo Imperial University, in 1922. Later became president of Tokyo University of Agriculture. Served as president of the Japanese Society of Agricultural Economics and president of the Greater Japan Agricultural Association. Known for his research on agricultural evaluation and industrial cooperative theory. Died May 31, 1967. Age 88. Born in Yamagata Prefecture. Her maiden name was Furumi. Her works include "Lectures on Industrial Cooperatives."

明治12年1月26日生まれ。大正11年母校東京帝大の教授となる。のち東京農大学長。日本農業経済学会会長,大日本農会理事長などをつとめた。農業評価学,産業組合論などの研究で知られる。昭和42年5月31日死去。88歳。山形県出身。旧姓は古海。著作に「産業組合講話」など。
