Belief in Piṇḍolabhāradvāja, a disciple of Shakyamuni. Binzuruharada was the first of the Sixteen Arhats (Rhakants), possessed supernatural powers, and once, encouraged by someone, performed a miracle by taking a sandalwood bowl from a tall elephant's tusk while sitting down without using a ladder or a staff. When Shakyamuni heard this, he reprimanded him for having shown a heretic, and said that he would not be allowed to enter the state of Nirvana (free from worldly desires) until the appearance of Maitreya Buddha in the Latter Day of the Law, and that he would have to continue preaching in this world.
