Altus [river] - Altus

The river originates from the Hasmash-Mare mountain in the Eastern Carpathians at an altitude of 1,280 m. It was known since ancient times and was called the Artus. It flows through the Ciuk Basin, an intermountain basin in the Eastern Carpathians, and enters the Brusei Basin, where Brasov is located, through the Tusnad Gorge.
