His works include "Bankoshi no Shiranami" (Omatsu the Demon, September 1851, Edo Ichimura-za, written by Sakurada Jisuke III), and other works by Kawatake Mokuami include "Shojo Hyoban Zenaku Kagami" (The Five Women of the White Wave), "Gonichi no Tatemae from Chushingura" (Onna Sadakuro), and "Konotegashiwa: Both Sides of Good and Evil" (Dafui no Ohyaku).
