Dictatorship - Dokusai (English spelling)
A state of government in which power is concentrated in the hands of a few and the political freedom of the masses is suppressed. Unlike dictatorship, it is characterized by being based on the political participation and active support of the governed masses. It is a very modern form of government that presupposes mass manipulation and mass communication. Its origins come from the dictator (dictator) who was given absolute power for a certain period of time in times of serious crisis under the ancient Roman Republic. Dictatorship appears in times of serious social crisis and promotes the progress of the situation or prevents or suppresses its progress. Generally, it refers to a very personal political system, but it can also be an institutional dictatorship based on the military or a single political party. C. Schmitt distinguishes dictatorships into delegated dictatorships and sovereign dictatorships, and Marxism has the idea of the dictatorship of the proletariat.
