Lake Victoria - Victoria
The largest lake in Africa, located in eastern Africa, on the border of Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, directly on the equator. It has an area of ​​68,800 km2 , an elevation of 1,134 m above sea level, and an average depth of 40 m, with a maximum depth of 84 m. It is the main source of the Nile, with the Victoria Nile flowing out from Jinja on the north bank. It is an important inland waterway, with ports such as Kisumu, Jinja, Entebbe, Port Bell near Kampala, and Mwanza. In 1858, Speke confirmed that it was the source of the Nile.
