Banla City Site (English: Banla City Site)

Japanese: 半拉城址 - はんらじょうし（英語表記）Bàn lā chéng zhǐ

An earthen wall from the Bohai period located about 6km west of the old county seat of Hunchun County, Jilin Province, China. There were many theories about the location of the Bohai Tongyuan Prefecture, but since 1924, several surface surveys and partial excavations have been carried out on the remaining earthen wall in Hunchun County, and it has been identified as the Tongyuan Prefecture, making it the most likely location. The wall is built of earth and consists of an inner wall and an outer wall. The outer wall forms a rectangle about 700m east to west and 740m north to south. The inner wall is also rectangular in plan, but is located slightly north of the center of the outer wall, measuring about 214m east to west and 315m north to south.

中国，吉林省琿春（こんしゆん）県の旧県城の西約6kmにある渤海時代の土城。渤海の東京（とうけい）竜原府の所在地をめぐって諸説あったが，1924年以後，数回にわたって，琿春県に残る土城に対して地表調査と一部の発掘が行われた結果，東京竜原府がここに比定されて以来，有力視されるようになった。城壁は土築で，内城と外城から構成される。外城壁は，東西約700m，南北約740mの平面長方形をなす。内城もまた平面長方形であるが，外城の中央よりもやや北方に位置し，東西約214m，南北約315mを測る。
