… The Datiscaceae family includes two other genera and two species: Tetrameles nudiflora R.Br. and Octomeles sumatrana Miq., which are widely distributed in the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia and New Guinea. Unlike the Datisca genus, these are large trees that can reach heights of 45 to 65 meters. Their wood, especially the latter, is often imported to Japan and is known as binuang or erima. There is also a theory that these two genera should be separated from the Datiscaceae family to form a separate family, the Tetramelaceae. …

…　ダティスカ科Datiscaceaeは以上のほかに，東南アジアからニューギニアにかけての熱帯降雨林に広く分布するテトラメレス･ヌディフローラTetrameles nudiflora R.Br.およびオクトメレス･スマトラーナOctomeles sumatrana Miq.の2属2種を含み，これらはダティスカ属と異なり，高さ45～65mに達する大高木である。その木材，とくに後者は日本にもよく輸入され，ビヌアンbinuangまたはエリマerimaの名で知られる。この2属をダティスカ科から分離し，別の科テトラメラ科Tetramelaceaeを立てる説も出されている。…
