A town in Iwanai County, Hokkaido. It is located at the base of the southern Shakotan Peninsula. In the Meiji era, it prospered through herring fishing. They stock salmon and sea urchins, and farm flounder and cherry salmon. The Raiden Coast area is a scenic spot that belongs to the Niseko-Shakotan-Otaru Coast Quasi-National Park. Area: 70.60 km2 .
