〘名〙 (「はるこま」とも)① 春、若草を求めて野に遊ぶ馬。また、単に馬の意。《季・春》※類従本小町集（９Ｃ後か）「霞たつ野をなつかしみ春駒のあれても君がみえわたるかな」② 新春の祝いに、馬の頭の作りものを、手に持ったり頭に戴いたりして、戸ごとに歌い舞い歩いた門付(かどづけ)芸人。また、その歌。禁中の白馬節会(あおうまのせちえ)を模倣したものであろうという。《季・新年》※俳諧・洗濯物（1666）春「春駒の糟毛や汗を一しほり〈政也〉」③ 馬の頭の形をしたものを竹にさし、その末端に車をつけたもの。子どもが初春にまたいで遊ぶ玩具。※洒落本・善玉先生大通論（1801）序「かの幼稚(こども)の輩(ともがら)〈略〉春駒(ハルコマ)大鼓舞車をのれをのれが好める物に喜戯(たはぶれ)恋著(あそび)」④ 心の勇みはやるさまをたとえていう。⑤ 鹿児島市の名物で、米の粉、餠の粉、黒糖などを原料として作り、馬の陰嚢(ふぐり)に模した黒褐色の団子餠。
