Born January 7, 1888. The eldest son of Harada Toyokichi. After working at the Bank of Japan, he became secretary to Prime Minister Kato Takaaki. In 1926, he became secretary to Saionji Kinmochi and, as his close aide, gathered information on the political world. In 1931, he became a member of the House of Peers. His posthumously published "Lord Saionji and the Political Situation" ("Harada Diary") is a valuable historical document of the Showa period. He passed away on February 26, 1946. He was 59 years old.
