Around 1281-? An Iranian historian. He was a descendant of the noble Mustafi family of Qazvin, a city in northern Iran. In 1330 he wrote The Anthology, a history of Iran and Islam from the creation of the world to the author's own time, and includes biographies of ancient prophets and sages, ancient Persian emperors, Islamic scholars, and poets. He also wrote The Joy of the Soul, written in 1336-37, the first part of which is an encyclopedia, and the second part is a geography of Iran.
