Paschen's law

This law was experimentally discovered by LCHF Paschen regarding the spark discharge initiation voltage (spark voltage). The spark voltage V is determined by the product of the air pressure P and the spark gap length d , and the relationship is shown in the figure below. This is called the Paschen curve. Each type of gas has a minimum spark voltage.

火花放電の開始電圧 (火花電圧) に関する法則で L. C. H. F.パッシェンが実験的に見出した。火花電圧 Vは気圧 Pと火花ギャップの長さ dとの積によって決るというもので，その関係はたとえば図のようになる。これをパッシェンの曲線という。気体の種類によってそれぞれ最小の火花電圧がある。
