A term in Japanese music. It is written as "kakari" or "kakeri." (1) In Noh music, it refers to the opening part of the first act in instrumental music performances such as "Naka no mai" and "Otoko mai," and also refers to a special gesture at the beginning of other music performances. (2) In shamisen music, it refers to a specific melody type at the introduction of a specific component, and there are names according to the type, such as "... kakari." When characteristics of other genres or schools are incorporated, it is often called "... gakari." (3) As a performance term for gagaku, it is used, such as "jo no kakari," "oyu gakari" (kangenbuki), and "bugaku gakari" (maibuki). 日本音楽の用語。「掛り」「懸り」の字をあてる。 (1) 能の囃子で「中の舞」や「男舞」などといった器楽的な囃子事において,最初の段の冒頭の部分をいい,そのほか囃子事の冒頭の特別な手をいう。 (2) 三味線音楽で,特定の構成部分の導入部において,特定の旋律型による場合をいい,「…カカリ」というように,種類による名称がある。他の種目や流派の特色を取入れた場合は,「…ガカリ」ということが多い。 (3) 雅楽の演出用語として,「序ノカカリ」「御遊ガカリ」 (管弦吹) ,「舞楽ガカリ」 (舞吹) のように用いられる。
