A term used in Noh and one of the techniques of chanting. It refers to singing a part of a set rhythm with a different rhythm. For example, in the final part of Ominameshi, where it goes "Nareru hate zo ya yoshina karikeru," singing up to "Nareru hate zo ya" with great rhythm and then breaking down to "yoshina karikeru" is called hazusu.
