A breed of dog. It stands about 25-28cm tall and weighs about 6-8kg. It is a small toy dog native to China. It resembles a Chin and has an extremely short muzzle. It is called Mops in Germany because of its unique, worried expression. It has short, smooth hair and comes in silver grey, apricot, brown, etc. It is very intelligent and cheerful, and easy to keep. イヌの一品種。体高約25〜28cm，体重約６〜8kg。中国原産の小型愛玩犬。チン（狆）に似て口吻(こうふん)は極端に短い。悩んでいるような独特の表情から，ドイツではモップス（〈しかめっ面〉の意）と呼ばれる。短毛で滑らか，毛色は銀ねず，あんず色，茶など。きわめて利口で朗らか，飼いやすい。
