An American law on labor-management relations enacted in 1932. Also known as the Anti-Injunction Act. Its name comes from its proposers, George W. Norris and FH La Guardia. In the 1920s, employers could disrupt labor union activities by entering into yellow dog contracts, which required employees not to join a union, or by filing for an injunction in court to stop strikes. This law made yellow dog contracts invalid and stipulated that injunctions could not be issued for strikes that were purely economic pressure, even if the employer suffered great losses.
