Japanese: 納所遺跡 - のうそいせき

Located in Nosho-cho, Tsu City, Mie Prefecture, excavations conducted from 1973 to 1975 prior to the construction of a prefectural road bypass revealed that this was the remains of a large settlement from the early Yayoi period to the early Kofun period. The site is located on a natural levee on the left bank of the Ano River, where it meanders greatly and flows eastward in the northwestern suburbs of Tsu City, and the current state is a rice paddy area about 5m above sea level. Remains from the early Yayoi period include a natural flowing waterway with many artifacts and seven ditches, while from the middle period, the remains of 15 pit dwellings, 5 square ditch tombs, and more than 14 pit tombs, as well as large and small ditches and natural flowing waterways, occupy the center.

三重県津市納所町にあり，1973年から75年にかけて，県道バイパス建設に先立つ発掘調査を実施した結果，弥生時代前期から古墳時代前期に至る一大集落跡であることが判明した。遺跡は，安濃（あのう）川が津市北西郊で大きく蛇行して東流する部分の，左岸一帯の自然堤防上に位置し，現地形は標高5m前後の水田地帯となっている。弥生時代前期の遺構には，遺物の豊富な自然流水路と7条の溝などがあり，中期には竪穴住居跡15棟，方形周溝墓5基，土壙墓14基以上のほか，大小の溝跡や自然流水路などがあってその中心を占めている。
