Xiyin Village Ruins - Xi-yin-cun

Japanese: 西陰村遺跡 - せいいんそんいせき（英語表記）Xi-yin-cun

A site of the Neolithic Yangshao culture in Xia County, Shanxi Province, China. It was investigated by Li Ji in 1926. The pottery excavated included coarse ash pottery, fine red pottery, and painted pottery, as well as stone tools and bone and horn tools. There was more painted pottery in the lower layers and less in the upper layers, and the painted pottery excavated was similar to that in Henan. This site was the first in China to be excavated using the triad method.

中国，山西省夏県にある新石器時代仰韶文化の遺跡。 1926年に李済によって調査された。出土した土器は粗灰陶，紅色細陶，彩陶などであり，ほかに石器，骨角器も発見されている。彩陶は下層に多く上層に少く，出土した彩陶は河南のそれと類似している。この遺跡の調査は，中国で初めて3点記載法を用いて発掘した遺跡である。
