This square tomb is located in Nishikawachi-cho, Gojo City, Nara Prefecture. It is also called Gojo Nekozuka Kofun. It was built in a valley at the eastern foot of the Kongo Mountains, which border the southwest of the Nara Basin, and measures about 30m on each side and 5m in height. Traces of a moat remain, and roofing stones are laid on the slopes. Many artifacts were unearthed during land reclamation in 1957, and the Kashihara Archaeological Institute carried out an excavation survey the following year. A pit-type stone chamber is built on top of the tomb. The chamber measures 5.17m x 0.89m, and the flat stones of the walls, which are piled up at the edge, are made of crystalline schist from the Kinokawa River basin.
