...The mountain range is divided into the Northern Hakkoda Volcanic Group and the Southern Hakkoda Volcanic Group by the valley of the Arakawa River, which runs west, and the Tsuta River, which runs east. The Northern Hakkoda Volcanic Group consists of the peaks Maedake, Tamoyatsudake (1324m), Akakuradake (1548m), Idodake (1550m), Odake (1585m, highest peak), and Iodake, which are lined up from north to south, and the peaks Takada Odake (1552m), Kodake, and Hinadake, which are lined up from east to west.
