She was the younger sister of Misumi Kanetsura. She served Emperor Godaigo's son, Prince Mitsuyoshi. She is said to have been killed in battle protecting the prince on May 11, 3rd year of the Kanno era (7th year of the Shohei era) at Otokoyama in Yamashiro (Kyoto Prefecture).
