A diary from the late Kamakura period. It was written around 1292 (Shoō 5). The author was Fushimi-in Nakatsuka Naishi (real name Keishi, birth and death years unknown), the daughter of Nakatsuka Daifu Fujiwara Nagatsune. The book covers the 13 years from 1280 (Kōan 3) to 1292, covering Emperor Fushimi's life at court from his time as Crown Prince to his accession to the throne until his retirement due to illness. It commemorates the honor of serving Emperor Fushimi as a court lady, detailing tasteful banquets, lavish events, solemn ceremonies, and unforgettable travel memories. The book is based on the sentiment that after a long period as Crown Prince, Fushimi had become Emperor and spring had finally come to the Jimyōin line. Among the articles is one about Asahara Tameyori's attempted assassination of Emperor Fushimi, which naturally reflects the darkness of the era when both Jimyoin and Daikakuji temples were in power, and although it records happy events it lacks brightness. However, there are also some touching, detailed and tasteful aspects to it, which are reminiscent of the Kyogoku school centered around Eifukumon'in of Fushimi, and the Gyokuyo style of poetry.
