A town in Hidaka County in western Wakayama Prefecture. Most of the area is mountainous, but watermelons, peas, and flowers are cultivated on coastal terraces. Rice and plums are also produced. The town's main fishing port is Innami, which is on the Kisei Main Line. The town also engages in fishing using set nets, and is a specialty of mosquito coils.
