A town in Nakagawa-gun, Hokkaido. It occupies the lower reaches of the Tokachi River and the hills on the right bank, facing the Pacific Ocean to the southeast. The Nemuro Main Line passes through the town. Dairy farming, including raising dairy cows, and field crops are practiced. Otsu, close to the mouth of the Tokachi River, was the gateway to the development of Tokachi, and flourished as an export port for miscellaneous grains and beans until the railway was opened. 536.71 km2 . 3,394 people (2010).
