A town in Nakagawa-gun, Hokkaido. It occupies the lower reaches of the Tokachi River and the hills on the right bank, facing the Pacific Ocean to the southeast. The Nemuro Main Line passes through the town. Dairy farming, including raising dairy cows, and field crops are practiced. Otsu, close to the mouth of the Tokachi River, was the gateway to the development of Tokachi, and flourished as an export port for miscellaneous grains and beans until the railway was opened. 536.71 km2 . 3,394 people (2010). 北海道中川郡の町。十勝川下流部と右岸の丘陵地を占め，南東は太平洋に面する。根室本線が通じる。乳牛の飼育などの酪農，畑作を行う。十勝川河口に近い大津は十勝開拓の門戸で，鉄道開通まで雑穀，豆類の移出港として栄えた。536.71km2。3394人（2010）。
