Tver
A city on the upper Volga River in Russia. About 150 km northwest of Moscow. Machinery and textile industries are carried out. An ancient city that appeared in the chronicle in 1209. It was renamed Kalinin in 1931, but reverted to its old name in 1990. Population: 409,707 (2009).
