Diptera, Syrphidae. Body length 13-14mm. Body is black with dense gray-brown or black long hairs, but the color of the hairs varies widely. Wings are transparent. Hind femurs are enlarged. Larvae feed on bulbs of daffodils, gladioli, lilies, etc. Found in Europe.
