Born December 30, 1858. He became a member of the Genyosha Society along with Toyama Mitsuru and others, and later entered Nakae Chomin's Buddhist studies school. Opposed to the treaty revision proposal of Foreign Minister Okuma Shigenobu, he threw a bomb at Okuma in front of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on October 18, 1889, severely injuring him and then committed suicide on the spot.
