An insect of the Hymenoptera family, Pycnonotidae. Also known as the Mikado Tokkuri Bachi. Its body is black with yellow spots. Its abdominal stalk is thin and it bends its abdomen when flying. It is found throughout Japan and builds a sake bottle-shaped nest using mud on the flat surface of rocks or on grass stalks.
