An Asian sports organization whose purpose is to spread the Olympic movement throughout Asia. Abbreviation: OCA. It was launched in New Delhi (India) on December 5th, 1982, after the 9th Asian Games. It restructured the former Asian Sports Federation (AGF), and has 43 member countries (as of 1997), each of which is made up of their National Olympic Committees (NOCs).
