Mannou [town] - Mannou

Japanese: 満濃[町] - まんのう

A former town in Nakatado County, central Kagawa Prefecture. It occupies the hilly area of the Toki River and Kanagura River basins, with lowlands in the northwest and Mannoike Pond in the center. It is a purely rural area where rice is the main crop, but also produces vegetables and flowers (persimmons). It is served by the Dosan Line and the Takamatsu-Kotohira Electric Railway Kotohira Line. It is home to the National Sanuki Manno Park. In March 2006, it merged with Kotonami Town and Nakaminami Town in Nakatado County to become Manno Town, Nakatado County. 53.24 ^km2 . Population 13,319 (2003).
