Kamado (stove) - Kamado

Japanese:
Kamado (stove) - Kamado
A facility used for cooking food.
【China】
In the Neolithic period in China, food was cooked in three-legged vessels such as tripods and kettle pots, and round-bottomed vessels such as pots and kettles. The former are placed directly over a fire, so no hearth is required. The latter require legs to support the base or a hearth to hang the body on. The clay legs of the Cishan culture, which belonged to an early field-farming culture, are an ancient example, and support flat-bottomed cylindrical vessels. The Hemudu culture (Hemudu Site), which belonged to an early rice-farming culture, has rimmed kettles or steamers, which suggests the presence of a hearth.
