Daily Herald

Japanese: デーリー・ヘラルド(英語表記)Daily Herald
Daily Herald
A British tabloid newspaper. It was first published in 1912 by striking printers, and later developed into a socialist daily. During World War I it became a weekly, but struggled financially. After the war, George Lansbury raised funds from mining and railway labor unions and relaunched it as a daily in 1919. As editor-in-chief, Lansbury brought in a diverse range of writers, including B. Shaw, H. Ellis, and A. Huxley, to become contributors, creating a culturally vibrant paper that was more than just a socialist newspaper.
