Entrance and exit - Deirigoto

Japanese: 出入事 - でいりごと

A term used in Noh and Kyogen. A general term for the Hayashigoto Kodan, which consists of music and gestures without chanting, and is used for the entrance and exit of the Tachikata. The one used for the entrance is called "Dedagotou" and the one used for the exit is called "Irihagoto", but there are also some plays such as "Raijiyo" and "Hayatsuzumi" in which the leading roles of the shite and tsure exit in the first half and the following roles such as ai enter in the second half. There are many types of Dedagotou, but they can be broadly divided into three types: Okomono, which are mainly played with otsuzumi and kotsuzumi, Taikomono, which also includes Taiko, and others.

能･狂言の用語。謡（うたい）がなく囃子と所作から成る囃子事小段のうち，立方（たちかた）の登･退場に用いられるものの総称。登場に用いるものを〈出端事（ではごと）〉，退場に用いるものを〈入端事（いりはごと）〉と呼ぶが，〈来序（らいじよ）〉や〈早鼓（はやつづみ）〉のように，その前半で前役のシテ，ツレなどが退場し，後半でアイなどの後役が登場するものもある。　出端事は種類が多いが，おもに大鼓（おおつづみ）･小鼓（こつづみ）で奏される大小物と，太鼓が加わる太鼓物，その他のものの三つに大きく分けられる。
