Born August 23, 1897. Studied under Shimizu Fujii and Akira Nakata. While working as an elementary school music teacher, he also devoted himself to teaching children music, such as hosting choral societies. He composed children's songs such as "Happy Hinamatsuri" and "Kamome no Sailor" that made use of elements of traditional Japanese music. Died December 24, 1946. Age 50. Born in Fukuoka Prefecture.
