Kabuki actor. There are seven generations. (1) 4th (1820-1866, Bunsei 3-Keio 2): A disciple of Ichikawa Danjūrō 7th, he started out as a child actor and changed his name many times, playing both leading and villain roles. In 1858 (Ansei 5), he became Sumizo, and the following year he became Ichikawa Raizo 4th. (2) 5th (1845-1906, Koka 2-Meiji 39): In the early Meiji period, in a play called Koriba Daitatsu in Higashi-Ryōgoku, he was reminiscent of Kawarazaki Gonnosuke (Ichikawa Danjūrō 9th), so he was called "Koriba no Gonnosuke." 歌舞伎俳優。7世まである。(1)4世(1820‐66∥文政3‐慶応2) 7世市川団十郎門下で子役から何度も名を変え,立役と敵役を兼ねた。1858年(安政5)寿美蔵,翌年4世市川雷蔵となる。(2)5世(1845‐1906∥弘化2‐明治39) 明治初年東両国垢離場(こりば)大辰の芝居で,河原崎権之助(9世市川団十郎)を連想させたので,〈垢離場の権之助〉と称された。78年9世団十郎の門下となり寿美蔵を襲名。
