〘Noun〙 A general term for ukiyo-e prints that were actively produced in Kamigata from the Bunka and Bunsei eras (1804-30 ) onwards, influenced by Edo-e. They mainly featured pictures of actors. The first use of this term is said to have been in Kuroda Genji's Kamigata-e Ichiran (published in 1929 ). Osaka-e. 〘名〙 江戸絵の影響を受けて、文化・文政(一八〇四‐三〇)以後、上方でさかんに作られた浮世絵版画の総称。役者絵を中心とする。黒田源次の著「上方絵一覧」(昭和四年(一九二九)刊)が、この呼称の最初という。大坂絵。
