Japanese: 市川大門[町] - いちかわだいもん

An old town in Nishiyatsushiro County, central Yamanashi Prefecture. The main settlement is near the confluence of the Kamanashi River and Fuefuki River, in the southern part of the Kofu Basin, where the Minobu Line runs. During the Edo period, there was a magistrate's office here. Paper industries, such as shoji paper, fireworks, and hosiery are manufactured here. In October 2005, it merged with Misato Town and Rokugo Town in Nishiyatsushiro County to become a town, Ichikawamisato Town in Nishiyatsushiro County. 32.32 ^km2 . Population: 10,833 (2003).

山梨県中部，西八代(にしやつしろ)郡の旧町。主集落は釜無(かまなし)川と笛吹川の合流点付近にあり，甲府盆地南部にあり身延(みのぶ)線が通じる。江戸時代には代官所があった。障子紙などの製紙工業，花火，メリヤスの製造が行われる。2005年10月，西八代郡三珠町，六郷町と合併し町制，西八代郡市川三郷町となる。32.32km²。１万833人（2003）。
