A town in the Nara Basin, Kitakatsuragi District, Nara Prefecture. The Kintetsu Tawaramoto Line runs through the north. In addition to rice, wheat, eggplant, etc. are cultivated. Sock manufacturing is thriving and the town is one of the leading sock-producing areas in the country. The Kudara area was the home of ancient immigrants. Kudara Temple, Suyama Tomb (special historic site), and Bakuya Tomb (historic site) are located here. Area: 16.30 km2 . Population: 33,070 (2010). 奈良県北葛城(きたかつらぎ)郡，奈良盆地にある町。北部に近鉄田原本(たわらもと)線が通じる。米のほか麦，ナスなどを栽培。靴下製造が盛んで全国有数の産地。百済(くだら)地区は古代渡来人の居住地。百済寺や巣山古墳（特別史跡），牧野(ばくや)古墳（史跡）がある。16.30km2。３万3070人（2010）。
