It is located in Tsurumaki, Hadano City, Kanagawa Prefecture. It is said that the highly salty well water was first used for bathing in 1889, and it developed rapidly after the Odakyu Electric Railway opened in 1927. It is located just an hour from Shinjuku Station, making it a convenient venue for parties from the Tokyo area. It is also close to the trailhead for Mt. Oyama in the Tanzawa Mountains. The pure salt spring water is 17-35°C, and is heated before being supplied. [Tanizawa Akira] Source: Heibonsha World Encyclopedia, 2nd Edition Information |
